Minecraft skin stealer
Type a username and get that player's current skin: a 3D preview, the model, the cape, and the PNG. Then wear it, or open it in the editor.
How it works
- Pick Java or Bedrock, type the name, and press Enter.
- Turn the character to see the skin from every side.
- Download the 64×64 PNG, or open it in the skin editor.
- Use it on your own account from the Java launcher or the Bedrock Dressing Room.
A public skin is still its author's work. Wear it and learn from it. Do not post it as your own.
Questions
- Is it allowed to take another player's skin?
- A skin a player wears is visible to everyone who meets them in the game, and the file itself is public. It is still its author's work. Use it on your own account, edit it, or study it. Do not upload it to a skin site as your own creation.
- Does it work for Bedrock Edition?
- Partly. Switch to Bedrock and type a gamertag. Lookups cover players who have joined a cross-play server while wearing a skin. If a player has not, the skin cannot be found yet, and the page says so.
- Why is the model Classic or Slim?
- Every account stores which arm width it uses. Classic arms are 4 pixels wide and Slim arms are 3. The preview uses the model the account has set, so it matches what other players see.
- How do I use the skin I found?
- Download the PNG. On Java Edition, open the launcher, go to Skins, choose New skin, and browse to the file, or upload it on your profile page at minecraft.net. On Bedrock (Windows or mobile), open the Dressing Room, pick Classic Skins, and import the file.
- The skin shows as Steve or Alex. Why?
- The player wears a default skin, so there is no file to download. Steve and Alex are assigned by the account and cannot be looked up as a texture.
- Can I see a player's old skins?
- Not here yet. This page shows the skin a player wears right now.
