About Minecraft Skin Lab
Minecraft Skin Lab makes free tools for building and changing Minecraft skins. It is an independent fan project — not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Mojang Studios or Xbox Game Studios.
What this site is
A set of tools that do one job each and do it without getting in your way: a correctly-sized template to start from, a map of which square on the texture becomes which body part, and — as they land — an editor, a viewer, and guides for actually getting a skin onto your account.
Every tool works without an account, and nothing here asks you to sign up. There is an optional one, and it does one job: it keeps the skins you save, so they open on any computer you log in from. No uploads to a public gallery, and no comments.
Is it accurate?
The texture coordinates behind every template and diagram come from the same layout the 3D preview renders with, so the picture you read and the file you download cannot disagree with each other. Where a page states a fact about the game — a size, a file format, a step in a menu — it reflects the current version, and gets corrected when the game moves.
